RMA Policy

At Cypress Technology Co., Ltd., we are committed to offer high standard after-sales service. Our customers can apply for RMA service by following the instructions below.

Warranty
Cypress Technology offers 18 months warranty period starting from the day the product is manufactured. The manufacture date can be verified by the serial number, which is composed of 12 digits, found on the product. The first eight digital numbers of the serial number shows the date of manufacturing followed by the last four digits representing the batch number. For instance S/N 201307040049 indicates the product was manufactured at 4th of July in 2013.

In Warranty RMA Procedure

  1. Fill out the RMA Request Form entirely.
  2. Email the RMA Request Form to your sales contact at Cypress Technology.
  3. Upon receipt of your Form, an RMA number will be assigned to you.
  4. Print out the hard copy of both RMA Request Form and Commercial Invoice and include the documents in the returning package. Click Here for the Commercial Invoice sample form for your reference.
  5. Label box w/RMA # assigned for shipping to Cypress Technology for service.

Out of Warranty RMA / Refurbishment Procedure

  1. Contact our sales representative to learn and confirm the estimated cost for Out-Of-Warranty repair and refurbishment.
  2. Fill out the RMA Request Form entirely.
  3. Email the RMA Request Form to your sales contact at Cypress Technology.
  4. Upon receipt of your Form, an RMA number will be assigned to you.
  5. Print out the hard copy of both RMA Request Form and Commercial Invoice and include the documents in the returning package.
  6. Label box w/RMA # assigned for shipping to Cypress Technology for service.

Special Notes for the RMA Service

  1. Please describe the fault of the return(s) as detail as possible as it will help us to fix the problem quickly in the time of constraint.
  2. Cypress Technology will not accept return(s) without an RMA number issued prior to the shipping back to Cypress.
  3. The customer is responsible for paying the returning freight and insurance. If the repaired goods is within the warranty period, Cypress Technology will pay for the going-back freight. For repaired goods that is out of warranty customer will be asked to pay for both trips.
  4. Unless the returning units were originally exported to your country in PCB format please always return the unit(s) in complete set with enclosure to avoid unnecessary custom duty on our side.
  5. It normally takes 14-21 business days for us to ship back the repaired return(s) to you. The repair time might vary depending on the quantity of returned returns. The additional services including firmware upgrade and refurbishment might also extend the schedule of shipping back.

End User Returning Information
End users must contact their local retailer from where the fault unit(s) was/were purchased. Cypress Technology will not accept direct return(s) from end users unless the end users had reported the faulty issues to the retailer but have not been serviced in an appropriate manner.
